GOOD PRICES OBTAINED

LONDON, December 5.

The biggest bloodstock sales of the war opened yesterday, when Horace J. Brueton, a prominent Midlands bookmaker, paid the two best prices, buying High Profit (Hyperion—Pennycomequick) for 4000 guineas and the five-year-old sprinter Brunei for 3600 guineas.. ' . Ninety-five lots were sold on the first day, and though they included many of moderate quality, the total paid was 41,750 guineas. The two-year-old filly Pukwana (Papyrus-^Concordio) shared top price of 4000 guineas, Peter Burrell, a director of the National Stud, being the buyer.
