The trust board of the Nelson School of Music has appointed Mr. T. J. Kirk-Burnnand principal of the school i", succession to Mr. J. B. Lemmer. When the war broke out Mr: KirkBurnnand was appointed conductor of the Air Force Central Band. He went overseas as a sapper in the engineers of the Third Echelon and took part m the campaigns in Libya,, Greece, Crete, and the Western Desert. He organised and was the first conductor of the Kiwi Concert Party. '■ v ■ ■ The Diocesan Council' of,the Church oi England Men's Society .last night passed a resolution conveying warmest greetings to Archdeacon E. j. Rich of Masterton, on his appointment'as vicar of St..Peter's, Wellington, and stating that the council looked forward, to much closer fellowship with him m consequence of his impending change of duties. ,
