STANP ON REINSTATEMENT Rec. 1 p.m. SYDNEY; December 5. The New South Wales Rugby Union has decided to support the New Zealand Union in a move to reinstate all servicemen who have played Rugby League. The State Union has received correspondence from the New Zealand Union asking that the soldiers should be given the same status as amateurs.
WOOL MEETING IN LONDON Rec. 10 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 4. The executive of the International Wool Publicity and Research Fund held its first meeting in London today when (delegates from New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa and representatives from the International Wool Secretariat attended. The delegates were faced with a long important agenda and will continue their meetings for a week, after which they will adjourn to Bradford where they will meet members of the wool trade, and visit research institutes there. '
The meetings are being held privately. A statement issued by the Press committee at the end of today's sitting said: "The delegates considered a report covering the activities of the International Wool Secretariat since its inception in 1937. In addition, the meeting viewed in broad outline the future plans for world publicity."
