Rec. 9 a.m. LONDON, December 1. The first woman member of the House of Commons, Lady Astor. who today completes 25 years in Parliament, has announced that she has decided not to contest the' seat at the next General Election
Elected to Parliament 25 years ago as Conservative member for the Plymouth Second Division, Lady Astor has been associated with. many social causes, including a campaign * against alcohol. Lady Astor was born in Virginia, U.S.A.
