EIRE AND WAR CRIMINALS

Rec. 11.15 a.m. RUGBY, Oct. 3. In the Dail today Mr. de Valera was asked if he was aware that representations had been made by the Allied Governments to neutral countries concerning the harbouring of war criminals after the war, whether similar representations had been made to the Eire Government, and if so what was the nature of the reply, Mr. de Valera replied that he was aware that such representations had been made. With regard to the remainder of the question, he asked the deputy to wait for a week or two, when he hoped to be in a position to give the information sought.—B.O.W.
