Rec. 12.50 p.m, LONDON, October 3. The Government is taking drastic measures to provide adequate housing for hundreds-of thousands of people m London before the winter sets in. The chairman of the War Damage Commission Sir Trustram Eve, has announced the conscription of all London builders for the repair of houses damaged by flying bombs and the re--cruiting of 30,000 men from the provinces. He declared that large London buildings, possibly including hotels, would be requisitioned to housl the workers.
