I The marriage, took place at the Pro-; testant Temple on Saturday of Private Ina Charlotte (Kiwi Coy., N.Z. W.A.A.C.), younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Butson, Hakauhauka, Southland, to Lieutenant Rex William Walter, only son of Flight Lieutenant and Mrs. H. L. Green, of Wellington. Padre N. C. Hall officiated at. the service, which was of particular interest to the nursing section of the Kiwi Coy. The bride is the first of their number to be married in New Caledonia.
The bride, who was given away by Colonel E. G. Sayers, was attired in her white dress uniform, and was attended by Privates Joyce Willett, of Invercargill, and Zilbah Elliott, of Albury, South Canterbury, as bridesmaids. The' best man was Captain F. Barraclough, of Opunake, and the groomsman, / Lieutenant H. McEUiott, of Wellington.
During the signing of the register Lieutenant Gordon McKay sang "The Voice That Breathed o'er Eden," the organist being Private Marjorie Fitzgerald, of Invercargill. At the conclusion of the service the guests proceeded to the,'4th New Zealand General Hospital, where a reception was held in the W-A.A.C. recreation hut. They were received by Colonel E. G. Sayers, Matron D. Hall, and Senior Commander *V. McClure, 0.C.; Kiwi Coy, N.Z. W.A.A.C. . ••:■
A beautiful three-tiered wedding cake, sent from New Zealand and icedin New Caledonia, graced the wedding breakfast table. -The icing was carried, out under the direction of : Private Mavis Russell, of the bride's company.
