OBITUARY
MRS. JAMES ROBERTS
I The death occurred this morning of Mrs. Lucy Roberts, wife of Mr. James Roberts, Waterfront Control CommisI sioner in Wellington and the Labour candidate in the recent Mayoral election. Mrs. Roberts,, who had been in ill health for some years, was born in Victoria Valley, North Auckland, of a pioneer family in the .district,. and was in her 56th year. Her poor health prevented participation in public activities for several years past. She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mesdames Harker, Clare, and Hanley. and Miss Shirley Roberts, all of whom, reside in the Wellihtgon district, and a young son, John, a student at Wellington Col-
