VICEREGAL. Government House, Wellington, This afternoon His Excellency 'the Governor-General received Mr. Essington Lewis, Director-General _of Munitions and of Aircraft Production in Australia. Government House, Wellington, May 18. This morning his Excellency . the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the standing committee of the National Patriotic. Fund^ Board. Mr. David Blair has been appointed organist and choirmaster of Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and holds the diplomas of L.R.A.M. and A.R.C.M. (London) for the teaching of singing. In Dunedin he was recognised as one of the foremost teachers. Before he arrived in New Zealand 15 years ago Mr. Blair held several important posts in Edinburgh, and he was organist in Toorak Presbyterian Church, Melbourne, for 18 months. He has composed several songs, sacred and secular, and piano pieces. __________
