EARLY WISCONSIN RETURNS
NEW YORK, April .5. Early returns in the Wisconsin Presidential primary election for the Republican Party nominee gave Mr. Dewey, Governor of New York, a strong lead, with Colonel Stassen second, General Mac Arthur third, arid Mr. Wendell Wilkie fourth. The Associated Press said that Mr. Willkie's poor early showing has caused general surprise, as the Wisconsin primaries were regarded as a test for Mr. Willkie, who engaged in a vigorous election campaign throughout the electorate. ,
