RAIDS ON FRANCE AND GERMANY. London. —In raids on northern France today, including those in the Pas de Calais area, 19 enemy aircx-aft were shot down and the K.A.F. lost- six heavy bombers, two light bombers, and two fighters. Flak was heavy at some places and light elsewhere. Enemy lighter opposition was, on the whole, weak. Several German radio stations, including Berlin's, went off the air tonight. MEETINGS POSTPONED

Because of the railway restrictions the Winton Jockey Club has decided to abandon its meeting set down for February 5. • The Forbury Park Trotting Club has decided to postpone its Summer Meeting from January 29 to February 26. Fresh nominations will be taken on Friday, February . 11.
