ASSISTANCE AFTER WAR
AUSTRALIAN SHIPBUILDING Rec. 12.50 p.m. CANBERRA, Jan. 22.
Development of the Australian shipbuilding industry after the war will be assisted by the Federal Government. This was decided by the War Cabinet, which has appointed a committee to prepare plans for the development of the industry and to report pn Australia's present shipping position. The Minister for Post-war Reconstruction, Mr. Chifley, said he doubted the ability of the industry to carry on after the war without assistance.
