N.Z. MEAT CONTROL SCHEME Rec. 9 a.m. MELBOURNE, January 19. New Zealand's meat control plan could be well copied in Australia, said 1 Mr. H. McLennan, a representative Victorian producer. "Australia's system," he said, "is virtually a dictatorship under the deputy meat controller. The Commonwealth producers suffer sadly by comparison with the New Zealand methods. It is high time that the Australian meat producers were given control of their own products on the lines of the operations of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. The New Zealand board is a great contrast with the Australian method of requesting a few associations to send representatives to the deputy meat controller to sit on subcommittees with no administrative powers." _„___________.
