BRIDES' DUAL ROLES

An unusual feature about two recent New Plymouth weddings was the participation of both brides in each ceremony. In the morning, when Miss Valeric Ashton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ashton, of New Plymouth, was married to Mr. William Stanton, son of Mr. W. J. F. Stanton, of New Plymouth, her bridesmaid was Miss Doreen Granger. In the afternoon, when Miss Granger was married to Mr. Richard Snushall, son of Mrs. C. Snushall, of Yorkshire, England, the bride of the morning acted as her matron of honour. The brides have been friends for some years.
