BOWLING
The bowling clubs in Wellington, after being greatly restricted in opportunities for play, made good use of their greens on Saturday afternoon as a preliminary to their own and the inter-club competitions. The greens were 'heavy, though giving promise of working well for a season ill which there is to be more competitive play, which will Include centre pennant matches.
A start has been made with some of the centre competitions. In challenge matches for the Edwin Feathers and the R.S.A. Badges, the Porirua Hospital Club (holders) defeated Khandallah (26-16) and Woburn (32-10) respectively. The skips were Sheary and A. Tough (Porirua), Brighan (Khandallah), and Gopple (Woburn).
