855-PLANE RAID
WASHINGTON, October 12. At a Press conference President Roosevelt gave statistics of the American air raid last Friday on German obiectives. He said that 855 planes participated. They carried 2,500,0001b of bombs, and 2,750,000 rounds of ammunition, and used 1,000,000 gallons of petrol and 25,000 gallons of oil. More than 5000 crew members participated in the raid over enemy territory for periods of two to six hours.
