FIGIITING AT SALERNO
London. —There is no important
change in the situation in the heavy fighting around the Salerno bridge-
head, and Allied troops are con-
solidating new positions in the face
ci' furious enemy attacks. Front
line troops were visiied by General'Clark, whose message to them
was, "Hang on." Fresh reinforcements are getting. ashore.
