ATTACK ON OWNERSHIP

TO EVERY OWNER OF A HOME, FARM, SHOP, SECTION, OR FACTORY

Do you realise how you are affected by the Land Sales Bill recently enacted by the Fraser Government? A farmer, who has built up a home and a highly-improved farm, and is desirous of retiring, cannot sell his property to his son (who may have fought in the war) or to any member of his family without first making application to a,Land Committee and receiving its permission. The State can confiscate the property at the lowest price fixed by the Committee. Soldiers' land cannot be taken while they are on active service—but as soon as they return it comes in the same category as other lands and is liable to all the disadvantages of the legislation. The Government has deprived the serviceman returned from this war of the right to sell, lease, or transfer his farm land to any person, whatever the price. The State has first call. The Government has deprived the serviceman who, agrees to sell.his farm land, and has had his price lowered by the Land Committee, of the right to withdraw his farm and retain it.

Every property, town or country, comes within the scope of the legislation and cannot be disposed of without permission. A property cannot be leased for a term in excess of three years without the permission of the Committee. The Land Committees will be appointed by the Government and the members can be disposed of immediately they fail to act in a manner pleasing to the Minister. Will you stand for this? Change the Government. Vote National.—Advt. . ■
