THE SOUTH ISLAND
A PROMISE OF JUSTICE
P.A. This Day. "I believe we will have a Government in the future which will see that the South Island gets the justice it has not had in the past," said Mr. S. G. Holland, addressing Christchurch North electors last evening. Mr; Holland had expressed regret that Mrs. Roosevelt had not come to Christchurch. "We deserve to have these people here in the South Islfend," said Mr. Holland. "It is time, we exerted ourselves, for the South Island has been slowly slipping back and back all the time."
Mr. Holland added that there was justification for the expenditure of a whole lot of money 'in the South Island which was not spent there at present.
