MARINE WAR RATES LOWER
Cabled advices have been received locally notifying alterations in marine insurance war risk rates. The new rates, with previous rates in parentheses, are as follow:—United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and Eire, to or from New Zealand, via any route, 11 per cent. (12S per cent.). West Indies, to or from Australia and New Zealand and Pacific Islands, via Cape or Mediterranean, 12S . per cent. Australia and New Zealand, to or from Turkey,'Bl per cent. (10 per cent.). New Zealand coastal, 10 shillings per cent. (15 shillings per cent.). v With regard to war transhipment rates, where transhipment occurs on voyage for which there is no through rate but where separate voyages are rated in schedule, the rate applicable shall be the higher rate, plus 50 per cent, of the lower rate.
