BASKETBALL
Four Wellington representatives basketball teams were in action on Saturday, two at Christchurch, one at Auckland, and one at Waipukurau. Central Hawke's Bay beat Wellington Fourths, 19-18.
W.A.A.C, W.A.A.F.. and W.R.N'.S. teams took part in a Yankee tournament in Wellington. The first section was won by Central Headquarters, W.A.A.C, who beat W.A.A.F. in the final 5-3. Recreation A headed Section 2.
Mrs. A. Muir and Misses E. Armstrong and U. Chamberlain have chosen the following 24 players, from whom two teams will be selected to' meet Northern and Eastern districts in a tournament at Auckland on October 2: — W.A.A.C.: F. Davis, M. Bullard, M. Martin, J. Hunter, A. Ingrain, H. Cole, K. Loughlin, B. Bailey, J. Burrell, S. McKinnon, N. Marryatt, A. Cole, O. Aumvlch, D. Loadman, L. Hunter. W.A.A.F.: K. Newton, B. Ingram, T. Andrews, M. Bergham, P. Prescott, M. Horn, D. A'Herne. W.R.N.S.: T. Law, B. Hutrtiins.
