ITALIAN'S WEDDING

LONDON, September. 10,

When an Italian officer in the little town of Gallina, near Reggio, surrendered with his company he made a special plea that he had planned to be married that afternoon in the Gallina church. The Allied company commander conceded the point and the wedding arrangements were carried out. The Italian marched his men to the church, and Canadians were there, too. The bride appeared, and the ceremony was performed. Then the officer kissed the bride on the steps of the church and marched off his men to a camp on Reggio beach.
