DRIVER EXONERATED

"I don't see that any blame is attachable to the driver of the truck,'? said the Coroner (Mr. W. G. L. Mellish) at an inquest yesterday afternoon upon Charles Dixon Luxford Varnham, 76, retired builder. The Coroner found that Mr. Varnham died in the Wellington Hospital on May 27 from head injuries which were the result of a motor accident.

The Coroner said it was clear from the evidence that Mr. Varnham had stepped out from the footpath in Cuba Street and had walked into the side of a .moving Army truck.
