ABSCESS CAUSES DEATH
A finding that William Epsom, 68, electrician, died in a private hospital on July 26, the cause of • death being general debility following infection! was made by the Coroner (Mr. W G L. Mellish) ,at the inquest yesterday afternoon. The evidence of a doctor was that Mr. Epsom had told him he had been knocked down by a car about a month before he called the doctor. He had an abscess, and the doctor operated on him next day, but he died a few days later. "In my opinion the abscess was .a direct result of the accident and an indirect cause of death," said the doctor.
