MR. W. M. PARK

The death occurred suddenly this week of Mr. William Munro Park, a clerical officer attached to the Defence Department, Buckle Street. The late Mr. Park was born in Wellington 53 years ago, > being the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Murray Park, well-known residents of Wellington North. He was educated at Welling ton College and later studied for the law. subsequently joining the then well-known firm of Wanganui solicitors the late Messrs. Barnicoat and Treadwell Mr. Park took a ; keen and active interest In sport, particularly Rugby He gained his commission in the last war and,on his return to New Zealand he became interested in the dairy industry in the Taranaki district He married the elder daughter of Mr T. E. K. Burgess, of Wellington. Mr. Park leaves his wife, a young son, and two sisters, Mrs. A. Jackson, of, Blenheim, and Mrs. S. Rae, of Canada.
