WILL BE OVERSUBSCRIBED?

The Wellington organisers of the Third Liberty Loan of £35,000,000 said this afternoon there was every indication that the loan would be substantially oversubscribed.

They stated that the official Wellington metropolitan area quota of £2,704,000 was reached at 10.30 a.m. a week ago today, and the committee to reach its target raised this figure by £800,000 to £3,500,000.

Bond sellers in Wellington today did remarkable business, one having sold £3400 worth up to about 2.30 p.m.
