TOTAL £15,622,478

YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS; Up to the close of business last night the Dominion total of investments in the Liberty Loan was £15,622,478 from 31,141 subscribers, leaving £19,377,522 still to be brought in in the final two weeks of the ■ campaign. Yesterday's figure was £801,825 from 2446 subscribers. The Wellington district total up to last night was £2,382,777, including £134,485 subscribed- yesterday, and that of the metropolitan area, which is included in the district, £2,094,623. The gain in the metropolitan area yesterday was £154,645. I The Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society yesterday invested £100,000. A high light of the campaign to date was the great efforjt of the Army for loan subscriptions in Wellington yesterday. Central District Signals canvassed the area from Taranaki Street to Courtenay Place, and with demonstrations of equipment available for public use as a decided novelty brought in many hundreds of pounds. One W.A.A.C. alone was credited with £100 worth of business. ' AIR FORCE WEEK. An interesting programme has been arranged for Air Force Week in sapport of the Liberty Loan. Throughout the \veek, which will be officially opened by the Air Officer Commanding the Central Group, Air Commodore J. L. Findlay, at 12.30 p.m. on Monday, an Oxford bomber will be on display in front of the railway station. Monday's programme includes a mass flight of aircraft and fighter aerobatics over the city during the lunch hour, and entertainment by the Tr^ntham * Band and other artists at Liberty Corner. For the rest of the week daily entertainment at Liberty Corner, an Air Force parade through the city, headed by the Air Force Band, on Wednesday, ' interception of bombers by fighters on Friday, and a mock bombing and destruction of an. '•enemy" plane by a fighter on Saturday are to be the features. ■ '
