TROOP MOVEMENTS
LONDON, April 30. Staling that German units are arriving in Bulgaria, the Istanbul correspondent of "The Times' says that road signs in German have been erected along the Bulgarian roads leading from the Danubian ports of Rustchuk and Lorn. Reports describe how three German divisions passed through Bulgaria and proceeded south towards Greece, especially in the direction of the coast of Thrace and Macedonia (north-east-ern and northern Greece), between Dede. Agach and Salonika. The divisional staffs of these forces have already arrived at Salonika, on the Aegean Sea, which port is the German headquarters in the Balkans. In addition, tanks and war material are being sent from Germany for the Bulgarian army, which at present consists of about 17 mobilised divisions, deficient in equipment. According to the Hellenic news service in Cairo, the Italians are leaving the Athens region in order to reinforce Italy's home forces. The report says that the Germans have announced that they are taking over the Athens area from now on.
