FINED FOR OVERCHARGING
A breach of pripg order No. PBl was alleged against GeorgeLunnisj Munj day before Mr. W< CTHariey, S.M., at hQwev Wutt yesterday, The defendant pleaded guilty to selling a foreguarter &i hogge? mutton for 5s 3d, for which a <|.aj?ge of only 4» 8d should have fceen made, A plea for leniency was made on the grounds that the sale was made by a casual hand and also that the amount of overcharge was very small. Mr. Harley said that that was the usual defence in cases of this kind, but if 8 person went shopping and was treated to similar overcharges at eaph shop the total overcharge would be considerable.
