BADGES FOR MEN FROM MIDDLE EAST
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —There has been no protest about the Government's attitude, or reason, if any, for not making available to the men returned from the Middle East a badge, if for nothing else to at least protect themselves from offensive remarks being made by irresponsible people. How would the powers that be like to be asked, after having been through a Middle East campaign, "When are you going to join the Army?" or overhearing someone say, "Why isn't he in the Army?" Our only protection at the moment is to wear an R.S.A. badge, but that is not sufficient. We surely are entitled to have a distinctive badge to wear.—l am, etc.,
BATTALION.
