CHURCHILL BOOK
The organiser of the Churchill Auctions. Mr. Pat Lawlor, said today that a bid of £110 for the Churchillßook by Sir Eraest Davis, of Auckland, had been increased to £120 by Mr A R Christian, of Wellington. "
Bids have come from as far as Australia for the collection of pictures rare books, linen, antique furniture' coins, manuscripts, letters from famous personages, and other valuable articles given to the Churchill Auctions for the patriotic funds. Tl*e Wellington sale will be held on Thursday next, commencing at 11 a.m.. at the Jacobean room, Kirkcaldie and Stains. Acjmission is by catalogue, and these are obtainable at Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd., the TurnbuU Library Public Library, C. A. Innes, Ltd., or 1 the honorary organiser, Mr. P. A. Lawlor, Nathan's BuUding.
