RIGHT TO MARRY

U.S. SOLDIERS IN BRITAIN

(Rec. 9 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 16,

American soldiers in Britain may now marry. Their wives will be paid the full allowance, which, is £8 15s a month in the-case of privates.

To check hasty weddings, the soldier must • give his commanding officer three months' notice of intention to' marry. Marriage does not make the woman an American citizen, but she is not required to enter America under the quota system. When she goes to America she can easily take out American citizenship.
