During period, an acute water shortage. Efficiency of gold recovery plant Impaired owing to excessive density of paddock water.' The total yardage dredged low because of exceptionally heavy digging conditions, and water shortage. Dredging continued on company's freehold, and average return per cubic yard was slightly higher than forecast at last annual meeting, viz., 1.65 grains per cubic yard as against .a recovery of 1.71 grains per cubic yard. All plant, buildings, and equipment maintained in good condition. Additional equipment acquired. The net profit for year is £15.025 4s 2d, after. charging depreciation.
