GANDHI'S SECRETARY DEAD
LONDON, August 15,
It is officially announced in Bombay that Gandhi's secretary, Mahader Desai, died, of heart failure while under detention. Desai had long been an outstanding member of Congress. He was several times arrested, and was sent to gaol for a year in 1938.
