PROVINCIAL RESULTS
The total Dominion increase in patriotic funds for the week up to last night was £130,509. Kaponga, Marton, and Palmerston North have reached their quotas. The outstanding increases yesterday were Auckland Province £16,551 and Wellington Province £9639. Last night the percentages of their "quotas reached by the eleven provinces were as follows: —Hawke's Bay, 80.1; West Coast, 72.8; Nelson, 72.2; Otago, J2; Southland, 66.8; Wellington, 60.1; Marlborough, 54; East Coast, 47.2; Taranaki, 40.1; Auckland, 36.6; Canterbury, 35.2. Tonight a radio-telephone appeal for funds will be conducted on a national basis from 7 o'clock. It is hoped that this form of appeal will result in substantial increases in the funds. Zone Will compete against zone and province against province.
