HEYDRICH'S BURIAL

PANEGYRIC OVER "ONE OF THE BEST NAZIS"

LONDON, June 9.

Herr Hitler, the Gestapo Chief, Herr Himmler, Field-Marshal Goering. Dr Hacha.' President of the Czech Protectorate, and high officials of the Storm Troops attended a ceremony for Heydrich in the mosaic hall of the Reich Chancellery where the body was lying m state.

I Himmler, in a speech, said: *THey« drich, as a Gestapo chief/had to fulfil hard and painful duties. He knew there were subversive elements in Austria and Czecho-Slovakia, and he knew how to dispose of them. Heydrich was filled with a sense of justice, and people could always hope for charity from him if they deserved it' There were some who believed last December that because the dreaded Feydrich was going to Prague blood and terror would start, but during those months, while he performed a constructive task which the whole world could observe his genial qualities were often shown. It is our holy duty to avenge him." .

Hitler awarded Heydrich the highest category of the highest German order. He said that Heydrich was one of the best. Nazis and one (of the greatest adversaries, of the enemies of the Reich,

Heydrich was interred in the Invaliden Cemetery, where German heroes are buried.
