W.W.S.A. LAND GIRL
THEIR EXCELLENCIES' DAUGHTER
The Women's War Service Auxiliary was informed recently by her Excellency Lady Newall that her eldest daughter desired to become a member, and Miss Georgiana Newall has now been enrolled as a member of the Land Group. The membership of the Wellington branch totals over 5000. It is almost two years since the Auxiliary came into being, and during this period it has arranged for girls to receive special training to enable them to give valuable assistance in various branches of work connected with the war. There are now a large number of these well-trained women and gix'ls in Wellington doing canteen, transport, land, clerical, signalling, and hospital emergency work as their contribution towards New Zealand's war effort. The members of all these groups are most enthusiastic and keenly interested in their work and they represent all sections of the community.
