AUCKLAND PARADE POSTPONED

AUCKLAND, This Day., The large-scale parade of fightini services which was to have been held in Auckland on, Saturday *or the celebration of United Nations pay .has ' been postponed, according to an an; nouncement made yesterday, but, the day will be. observed in other respects. The Mayor. Mr. J. A. C AUum. who held a meeting of Mayors and chairmen of local authorities yesterday afternoon to discuss arrangements, said subsequently that although there would be no parade he wished all occupiers of business and other premises who possessed bunting to display it on Saturday in conformity with his earlier request It was hoped that the parade could be held on a later date, possibly next week, and in-that event he would ask citizens to fly-their flags a second time. • -•• -• '
