TERROR IN GERMANY
MORE EXECUTIONS
(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, June 9. Executions inside Germany now average ten a day, says the "Daily Herald's" diplomatic correspondent, who quotes estimates by Swedish correspondents in Berlin. He says that the executions almost doubled in Germany after Hitler's Reichstag speech on April 26, .which urged Judges to be more ruthless. German Judges are now passing death sentences for such crimes, as poaching and stealing bicycles. Despite the Nazi terror, crimes against the German war front increase. Twenty-five per cent, of the total death sentences have been for sabotage, and 18 per cent. . for offences against the food regulations. Thirteen per cent, of those executed have been women.
