A.N.A. COMFORTS COMMITTEE
SPLENDID RESULTS
The sum of £270 has been raised during the past twelve months by the A.N.A. Comforts Committee, and gifts to the value of more than £100 have been made to the A.N.A. ■ Club from time to time through the committee's offices. This was stated in the report presented last night at the first annual meeting of the committee. Of the. money, allocated to the A.N.A. Bell and S Mackenzie had given regular support in generous cash donations, and to its many other supporters, including 'MrY' Vincent Ward, M.L.C, and.Mr. L. C Blundell, the committee extended its i grateful thanks. . j A letter expressing thanks to the Comforts Committee, and the hope that it would continue its good work, had been received from the Metropolitan Patriotic Committee, and at the meeting last night Mrs. H. F. O'Leary, of the A.N.A. Club executive, thanked the members for their pleasant cooperation and wonderful efforts. She specially mentioned the splendid service given by Miss Myra Cohen, the honorary secretary. Mrs. O'Leary is chairman of the committee, which consists of 17 women, all of whom will continue in office for the duration of the war. Special visitors to the meeting were Mr. Ward and the following members of the A.N.A. Club executive:—Mrs. R B. Gibbons, Miss Moya Hempton, and Messrs. W. D. Gordon, R. C. Burton. R. B. Gibbons, L. Blundell, J. Murray E. J. Hyams, L. H. Angus, and A. Urquhart. Mr. Ward (on behalf of the Metropolitan Patriotic Committee) and Mrs Gibbons and Messrs. Gordon, Burton and Gibbons (on behalf of the executive) expressed their thanks to the committee.
