JAPANESE STATISTICS
-• NEW YORK, June 7. Tokio official radio said that Imperial Headquarters, summing up the first six months of the war, claimed that 35 enemy divisions had been crushed in the South Pacific regions, while 112,000 were killed in north, central, and south China. Further, the Japanese captured 342,000 prisoners, including 25,000 Americans, 64,000 Britons, 24,000 Dutch, and 44,000 Chinese, and also destroyed 1636 planes and captured 240. .
It is admitted that the Japanese losses were 9174 killed and 20,720 wounded, also 348 planes lost, while 31 Japanese ships, totalling 160,000 tons, have been sunk. -
