WELLINGTON PARADE
Theobservjtnce qf Flag Day in * the United States will assume a world significance at the weekend. Never before in -history will so many nations be linked together in a common bond of association. The United Nations taking part will not only honour their respective and collective flags, but will demonstrate their purpose in the united fight for freedom. Preparations for, the outstanding military displays on Saturday next are well forward in the chief centres in New Zealand. The procession's will be the most impressive in Dominion -history, and the war munitions display will provide striking proof of the achievement arising . from the con- j tinued effort to provide adequate defence for the people. .
It -is anticipated- that -the ; parade in Wellington will start at:iO.3O a.m. and will be compieted by 1 p.m.
