MEDICINAL SPIRITS
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —Why is it that one may enter practically any hotel in the city and drink as much brandy and whisky as one desires, and yet when one requires brandy for medicinal purposes it cannot be bought? Perhaps a wee drop may be obtainable from a chemist if you walk the town in search of this valuable emergency medicine. Sure;ly it could be reserved for more urgent things than just drinking for the pleasure of it. — I am, etc.,
