EMPEROR'S BIRTHDAY
(Rec. 10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 29.Tokio official radio quoted the Domei news agency as saying that against the grim horizons of war the Japanese people had held solemn ceremonies to mark the Emperor's birthday and to pledge themselves to renewed effort to bring the war to a successful end.
The usual parades and celebrations were held all over the country. The Emperor received the congratulations of princely houses and high officials,
