BURMA ARMY REFORMS
ENEMY MOVES NORTH
LONDON, February 26,
In Burma, it is reported that while our troops are reorganising behind the Sittang River, enemy forces are believed to be moving north along the east bank.
Chinese troops are steadily taking up positions in Burma ready to meet a Japanese thrust north to Mandalay. Some of the Chinese troops may have been in action already.
Chinese planes have also been operating in Burma and yesterday raided an enemy base in Thailand with planes of the American Volunteer > Group. Two enemy. bombers were, shot down and two fighters were destroyed on the ground.
