UNIVERSITY BLACK-OUT
Arrangements which have been made at Victoria University College for complying with the lighting requirements were outlined by the principal (Sir Thomas Hunter) at a meeting of the College Council last night. He said that they had endeavoured to comply with the regulations as economically as possible by reducing the number of rooms in which classes are conducted at night, by providing shields for passage electric lights, by providing blinds in all rooms used at night, and by painting windows wherever this would be effective. A great deal of this work had been done by the University's own staff.
