PRELUDE TO TRIP NORTH

Figuring at the Dunedin Jockey Club's Meeting, which will be at Wingatui, are several horses who are expected to come north for the Wellington Meeting., Included in the Cup field are Gladyriev, Hearth, and Arctic Dawn, all three of whom claim an engagement in the Autumn Handicap at Trentham tomorrow week, and Wild Talk, who claims a Thompson Handicap engagement. In addition, there are other horses who are prospective visitors to Trentham, and the meet-

ing might well be something of a prelude to the Wellington gathering. Win-and-place betting will be operated, and the following horses are likely to meet with support:—
