A cold southerly wind of gale force made conditions for training at Wingatui unpleasant this morning. There was moisture on the grass early, but the wind had a.drying effect and those horses who worked after breakfast had faster going. The trestles were about 45 feet out from the rails.

Wild Talk, who looks in perfect condition, was sent about nine furlongs, the pace being on "rom the seven furlong post. Taking 40sec for the first three furlongs, she completed her task attractively in lmin 38sec. Court Dress went half a mile, the last three furlongs in 42 2-ssec.' Don't Forget, pulling hard, broke away along the back and ran about three' and a half furlongs at a fast clip. He looks' very well.

Sally Lunn, Gladynev, and Palfrey were sent six furlongs, and after taking 28 3-ssec for the first two furlongs, finished in lmin 23 l-ssec. They were almost in line, but Gladynev was on the outside and covered the most ground. He conceded the others about two lengths turning for home, but finished strongly to finish on terms, Foxhaven and Straight Bat ran half a mile next to the rails in 49 4-ssec, the last three furlongs in 37sec, Straight Bat having her head in front at the post.,

Leighnor and Ageratum took 53sec for a similar task. The latter's workout is likely to bring him into demand for the Trial Handicap. Arctic Dawn drew away from Egyptian Rose over the, last furlong of a seven furlongs task in lmin 37sec. the first three in 38 4-ssec. Merry Simon and Chop Suey ran half a mile in 55 3-ssec, the latter showing to advantage. Airline ran the best six furlongs of the morning, lmin 22sec. He appeared to be slightly lame afterwards.

The Raker was just shading Craiglea at the end of seven furlongs in lmin 36 2-ssec after running the first three in 38 3-ssec. Dash o' Dublin was going just as well as Green Gables at the end of si? furlongs in lmin 21 3-ssec, the first three taking 38. 3-ssec However, the course was getting faster when they* galloped. Foxette and Patria rani their first half-mile in 53 4-ssec and completed seven furlongs in lmin 36 l-ssec.

Secret Flight,' heavily bandaged on both forelegs, was under a good hold when running half a mile in 55sec, the last three furlongs in 41sec. Lady Nuffield took 44sec for her first three furlongs and lmin 26sec for six. Lord Nuffield was under strong restraint while running half a mile in 55sec.
