E.P.S. TRY-OUT
ON FULL SCALE SOON
"We have not yet had a try-out of the whole E.P.S. organisation for a reason you will readily appreciate," said the Mayor (Mr. Hislop) in an address to the Wellington Returned Services Association luncheon meeting yesterday. "It is no good setting to work on divisional manoeuvres unless you have first of all got past squad drill and then movements by platoons, companies, battalions, and brigades. If you don't do that before you have divisional manoeuvres you will have an unholy mess. We have been working up to the stage of a big try-out, which will be held very shortly." The Mayor said that district trials had been held, and that some districts had reached a high state of efficiency.
