STREET DAY APPEAL

PEOPLE WHO STILL NEED

HELP

Tomorrow a street day will be held in aid of the funds of the Wellington division of the New Zealand branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society, and in aid of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children.

Although nearly all our1 financial efforts are made in aid of war activities, it is essential that these two societies should not lack funds. Cancer continues to take a heavy toll, and the funds in the main are devoted to the 'tree cancer consultation clinics which meet at the Wellington Public Hospital every Tuesday at 4 p.m. Thousands of suffering women and children are needing help, and this society regards the sacredness of the home and the protection of little children as of primary importance.
